Introduction

In this today's blog we discuss some common and unique questions with there respective answers and it is a way to explore the knowledge of the readers to the next level.Lets check it out:-.

Q.1)Why Bamboo Salt is so Expensive?

Ans:-This is a standard sea.But after 30 days it'll become this.High quality bamboo salt costs almost $100 for an 8.5- ounce jar, making it the most expensive salt in the world. So what is bamboo salt used for?And why is it so expensive? For 💯 of years, Koreans have used bamboo salt for cooking  and as a form of traditional medicine. It's made by placing sea salt inside of bamboo & roasting it at high temperature. The goal is to infuse the salt with minerals from the bamboo & to remove any impurities. But the premium compared to other types of salt is steep.Nine-times roasted bamboo salt, sometimes referred to as"Purple bamboo salt",can cost over 10 times the price of pink Himalayan salt. Most of that cost comes from the labor- intensive process.Every single step is done by hand.It takes about 1 month to 45 or 50 days from putting the salt in a bamboo barrel & melting it nine times until it is finished. The process starts by cutting 3- year old bamboo into uniform trunks, leaving one side closed as a container for the salt.Sea salt from the west coast of Korea is densely packed by hand into the bamboo.Workers load filled bamboo onto a cart & push it into a kiln.Traditionally, only pine logs are used. This process takes around 12 to 14 hours.Baking everything at over 800°C burns away the bamboo, leaving a column of salt. But the process has only just begun. Then we grind the salt column & fill the bamboo again. This process is repeated 8 times. The 9th and final roast is the hottest,at over 1,000°C . It's fired in a special kiln & operated by an expert.Shin Tae- Joong has been making bamboo salt for over 20 years. That experience is extremely important, because any error at this stage could result in wasting a month of work .At this temperature, the salt & bamboo completely melt & drain into a mold. After a few days of cooling,a blackened rocklike structure remains. This is 9 times roasted bamboo salt.Workers carefully break this down by hand, trying not waste any material. After a month of work, it's ready to be packaged and sold.If you bake the salt in a bamboo barrel, the bad things such as microplastics will be filtered out during this process. Then,as the bamboo burns, bamboo oil comes out.The bamboo oil is absorbed into the salt and the good ingredients in the bamboo are then concentrated in the salt. The final price varies depending on where you buy it & what form it's in.But 9 times roasted bamboo salt doesn't come cheap.Based on the bamboo salt that was baked 9 times, the price ranges from 200,000 to 250,000 won[-$179-$224] per kilogram.Koreans recognize the high price of bamboo salt.Inspite of the high cost,I think people buy it because they know the value of it.The health benefits of food have always played an important role in Korean culture. For centuries, bamboo salt baked two to three times has been used in traditional Korean medicine. But in the 20th century, the 9 times roasting process was developed.Manufacturers say this process has the lowest toxicity & highest mineral content.Today it is used for cooking, toothpaste, soap& various remedies.First of all being a salt, bamboo salt has salty flavor. Then there's bamboo salt's unique flavor. As the salt absorbs good ingredients from the bamboo an egg - yolk flavor of bamboo salt gets deeper as it is baked. Then there's no bitter flavor . Proponents of bamboo salt say that it can help with everything from digestion to oral health, skin care & inflammation & that it even has anti cancer effects. The proposed medical benefits have likely helped it maintain its high price. But there hasn't been enough scientific study to fully back up all of these claims.Studies have shown that bamboo salt contains higher levels of iron, potassium and calcium compared to regular sea salt& that it could improve your immune system. But these beneficial minerals constitute only a small percentage- the majority of bamboo salt is Sodium chloride (Nacl).Even with lower toxicity, it's unclear how potent the health benefits are.In 2016,the WHO wrote in a report that" the composition of specialty salts poses no toxicological risks but doesn't offer any relevant nutritional benefits either".The full benefits of bamboo salt  compared to sea salt have yet to be extensively researched. But despite that bamboo salt continues to be popular.Insaga,a popular bamboo-salt maker, earned around$ 24 million in sales in 2017.And the traditional labor- intense process isn't likely to change anytime soon.

Q.2)Why Russians don't smile?

Ans:-Russians are termed as a charming and handsome personality people all over the world, but still you ever think why they don't smile?Even when I come across with this fact I eagerly explore the net to know the reason behind it after my exploration I sumed up some astonishing reasons which we discuss today let's check it out:-

1)The closed-mouth smile:-Most often, Russians smile only with their lips, only occasionally showing the upper row of teeth slightly.Revealing the top& bottom is considered vulgar,as it resembles either an animal with bared teeth or a horse.

2)"The Servant's Smile":-In Russian communication,a smile is not a signal of politeness.Russians consider a perpetual polite smile an " servant smile".It is considered a demonstration of insincerity, secretiveness& unwillingness to show one's true feelings.

3)The non- smile:-In Russian communication,it is not acceptable to smile at strangers.Russians smile mainly at people they know. This is why salespeople do not smile at shoppers. The another reasons behind this are as follows:-
  • WEATHER:-Specialists expose that in Russia, one of the reason is weather. They grew up in extreme cold and when its freezing the chances of seeing Russians not smiling are even higher, because their teeth can get cold & it can hurt.

  • HISTORY:-Russians fought in so many wars- It affected future generations. Its has become a behavioral pattern for them to not trust strangers. Most of us simply don't smile at someone we don't trust. On top of all of that Russia smiling represents something different than to most of us.There if you smile at people for no reason, you are seen as fake or even rude! If you meet a stranger & you smile at them they may even think you're just making fun of them.In Russia, you smile at your family and friends, and most importantly you smile you have a good reason & you truly mean it.
4)The Responsive Smile:-Russians do not automatically respond to a smile with a smile. If an acquaintance responds to a smile with a smile, this is considered an invitation to come over and start a conversation.

5)The smile as a symbol of affection:-A Russian smile demonstrates to the recipient that the smiling person has personal affection towards him or her.A smile directed at a stranger may elicit the reaction,"Do we know each other?."

6)The official's non-smile:-Among Russians it is not acceptable to smile while performing one's job or any important business.Customs agents do not smile because they are occupied with serious business. This is the same for salespeople and waitstaff. It is not acceptable for children to smile in class. One of the most common remarks Russian teachers make is,"What are you smiling at?Write."

7)The geniune Smile:-In the Russian collective consciousness.there is a rule:- the smile must be a genuine reflection of good mood& good relationship. In order to have the right to smile, one must truly like the person in question or be in a very good mood at the moment.

8)The Smile with no Reason:-If a Russian person smiles, there should be a good reason behind it- and this reason should be known to everyone likely to witness the smile. If the reason for a smile is not clear.Russians may worry about the reason behind it.

9)The appropriate smile:-The other people present must consider the smile to be appropriate for the context. It is not acceptable to smile in a difficult situation or if there are people around with known serious troubles or if someone is ill or preoccupied with personal problems and so on.

10)A Laugh as a Smile:-Among Russians there is a blurred line between a smile& laughter,in pratice ,these phenomena are often the same& are likened to each other.Russians often say to people Who are smiling."What's so funny?".

Q.3) Why Coconut oil is so expensive?
Ans:-Coconuts have been cultivated in tropical climates for thousands of years, and they produce some of the most expensive cooking oil, often selling for 10 times the price of canola oil.The coconut industry is predicted to grow by half a billion dollars worldwide over the next four years. But with the hotly contested health benefits, some coconut-oil companies promote should it be as expensive as it is?So what's the truth behind coconut oil,and why is it so expensive? Its supposedly versatility is the reason for its high price. While coconut has a long tradition of use in food& medicine across Asia, its oil is the most valuable by product. Here in the Philippines, where over 44% of the world's coconut oil is produced, coconut trees thrive in a long dry season. But even with a bounty of coconuts at your fingertips-assuming you can climb high enough-The process of extracting the oil isn't easy Each coconut has a layer of husk surrounding its shell that must be removed by hand.Only then can it be cleaved in half with a special tool called a bolo knife. So after grafting,we will now squeeze using our expeller machine. Then after using the expeller machine,we now have collected the cream.Set aside the cream to be fermented for 12hourson a table. In the Philippines 14.8 million metric tons of coconuts were harvested in 2019 alone, and these were used to make around 1.6 million metric tons of oil- much of it exported to the USor Europe. And by the time the coconut oil reaches the western market, the price for the product will have roughly doubled.Even with the ideal growing conditions for the trees, coconut oil has grown so popular that farmers in the Philippines struggle to meet the demand. In recent years, the market for coconut oil has surged in the West alongside  a cultural shift towards the search for natural, unprocessed products. And coconut- oil manufacturers were quick to capitalise on the sensation.Consumption peaked in the US in 2009 at 598,000 metric tons & coconut oil quickly became the mascot for a healthy lifestyle as celebrities and bloggers adopted the product.Proponents of coconut oil as a cure-all remedy say that it can promote weight loss, improve blood sugar,& even slow the progression of Alzheimer's because of its high levels of antioxidants. But so far,all scientific studies on the health benefits of coconut oil have been inconclusive & nutritionists remain skeptical. Some nutritionists say coconut oil could actually more harm than good.Coconut oil is composed of 80%to 90% saturated fatty acid.In 2017,the American Heart Association issued an advisory against saturated fats& specifically warned that coconut oil increases cholesterol & should be avoided. And soon after the wholesale price of coconut oil dropped by more than half. But it's a dip  that hasn't lasted,& coconut oil's price is once again rising rapidly. The oil has become a key ingredient in many products, perhaps most recently alternative meats. Both beyond& impossible burgers are reliant on coconut oil,& their surging popularity has increased demand. But while coconut oil's popularity shows no sign of slowing, there's a looming problem for the coconut supply. Some estimates say as many as 90% of all coconut trees in Asia are nearing the end of their productive cycle. The majority of coconut plantations across the Philippines were planted 40 or 50 years ago& many of the trees are now producing as little as 10 coconuts a year, rather than the 100 to 150 a healthy tree might. So 250 coconuts can make up 10 litres of virgin coconut oil. These coconuts were taken from 12 coconut trees. For a coconut like this to mature,we harvest it every three months or quarterly. And the 10 litres that come from of all these coconuts would only fill up about 21 16-ounce jars of coconut oil that you're likely find at a supermarket.Given it takes about 10 years  for a new coconut tree to fruit, planting new trees is going to be crucial to keep up with this soaring demand. But despite these problems, the market is poised to grow by$ 518 million before 2024.

Q.4)Why printer ink is so expensive?
Ans:-
It is a quite rare question everyone asks but nobody gives the satisfactory answers. To find the exact answers I search the net and finally a journal with satisfactory answers astonished me and blow up my mind.Lets take a look over it.

1) Producing Printer Ink is a Complicated Process:-Unsurprisingly ,this the argument that printer manufacturers given when asked about the high prices. They state the technology and research that goes behind creating printer ink justifies the high price. When the topic of printer ink comes up,people are keen to compare  it to the price of other liquids  such as oil or champagne. The problem is,those liquids are simply put into a container& used when needed, printer ink has a lot more user expectation in terms of performance. As such comparing ink to other liquids is useless because no other store brought liquid has to perform as printer ink does.

2)Printer manufacturers Sell Printers at Loss:-With the high demand of printers in various fields due to technology advancement in various fields to meet the demand and flow the supply circle the manufactures has to sell the printer at low price and to cover up the loss, this loss is completed by adding the cost price of using the ink of printer& moreover to make the best part of the sale ,the manufacturers patented  their ink so that people use the particular ink for the printer.

3)Printer Companies create a Captive audience :-This is a quite bitter and controversial fact that majority usage of printer ink in the market.Manufactures produce their patented ink for the printers as they know ink is the soul of printer and soul never dies as also mentioned in bhagwad Gita,to continue this philosophy the manufacturers creates a captive audience of printer ink which makes them profitable for continuous sale.

4) Replaces Ink cartridges:-With the advancement in technology, printer ink builds a prior position in markets,as it rapidly decreased the usage of ink cartridges due to its versatile performance in different conditions as compared to ink cartridges.

Q.5)Why Sunday is a holiday all over the world?
Ans:-
We often see in the weekend calendar of seven days,Sunday is termed as a rest day or a holiday, but many times my mind triggered this up as a query so I explore the net and collect this amazing information in the form of common and rare question in my blog post"Common questions to be asked".Let's explore the knowledge:-

1)Sunday is called as GOD'S DAY:-In the first centuries Sunday being made a festival in honour of Christ's resurrection, received attention as a day of religious services.Overtime Sunday thus came to known as Lord's Day(some patristic writings termed it as the 8th day).

2)Jewish Immigrations in Late 1800s:-As earlier, stated above in the Christian tradition, the Sunday is termed as Lord's Day.When Jewish Immigrations in the late 1800s, factory workers goes on a strike for a rest day in the weekend, the workers wanted Saturday off,but due to the popularity of Sunday as a Lords Day, factory owner decided to allow a rest day on SUNDAY which in future popularly followed all over the world.

3)Indian Connection:-In the holiday series of Sunday as a rest day,India also be a crucial part of it and might some people know about it as I am also unfamiliar with the fact that, during the British rule in India, only British officials or British government had the right to take rest on Sundays and Indian mill workers doesn't have this golden opportunity.Shri Narayan Meghaji Lokhande, a Marathi chief head of mill workers demand a right to get a holiday on Sunday even for mill workers as a service day for the country and it is a day of Lord Khandoba he added.Britishers refused his approval, but Narayan Lokhande continued his protest for 7 years. After this long period of his protest,On 10th June 1890, British government announced Sunday as a official day of rest in India for mill workers.

4)ISO Decleration (International Organization Of Standardization):-In accordance to ISO,Sunday is the seventh and last day of the weekend, thus ISO declared Sunday as a holiday in 1986.

5)In 1844:-In 1844,a British governer General declared Sunday as a rest day for school going students with the theory that children do creative work on that day and increase their skills.

6)Hindu Mythology:- In accordance to Hindu Mythology, the weekend is started from the first day "SUNDAY"& also called as "The Day of Lord Sun"and sun is treated like a devta in India and as the prime day of the weekend to start new things made this day more significant in India.

Q.6)Why Real Saffron is so expensive?

Ans:-Saffron is a word which a born infant knows about it and even about its important in terms of expensive. It is a widely used spice all over the world, but some of the people knows about the backfoot reasons of its expensive which we discuss in points listed below:-
1)Plantation and growing:-A main and first reason of its expensive is that its plantation and growing needs human labor.Saffron is derived from its plant which is very delicate and blooms for only one week.It takes a long time to grow up and depends upon the sunlight and rainfall. The temprature conditions for shoot growth and flower formation were characterized for saffron (Crocus Sativus L).Leaf withering occured during late winter or spring depending on location & coincided with a rise of temperature. No growth was detectable in the first 30 days after leaf withering, neither in underground corms nor in lifted corms incubated in the laboratory under controlled condition. The optimal temperature for flower formation was in the range from 23to27°C temperature..To ensure the formation of maximum number of flowers, the incubation at these temperatures should exceed 50 days.Although incubation longer than 150 days resulted in flower abortion.Different locations have different phenological stages due to different temperatures and climates.

2)The Harvest:-Saffron grows inside crocius flowers, and it has to be handpicked-a very difficult time-consuming task.At the saffron cultivation, saffron is collected from the blossoms of Crocus Sativus (Iridaceae), commonly known as saffron Crocus or saffron bulbs. It is propogated by bulbs called corms. Each corms form new bulbs, and this is how the plant multiplies. Each blossom yields three stigmas and carefully picked by hand.

3)The Scarcity:-As this spice is widely in demand and used in different countries around the world,it becomes a very rare spice to be found easily,as for 1 gram of saffron, you need almost 400 flowers Long,deep-red threads have the most flavor too,so chances that every flower delivers a perfect product are slim. Each flower only produces 3 stigmas,so it will take about 75,000 Crocus flowers to make 1 pound of saffron which is very difficult even fake saffron are widely available in the markets to cope up with the high demand of saffron.
